Opening break determined by coin flip. Alternate breaks throughout the match. The BCA uses a RACK-YOUR-OWN rule, so the player with the Break racks. Breaker pays the coin.
Sinking the 8ball on the break does not win or lose a game. If the bar owner/manager is available to open the table, please ask them to do so. If no one or key is available to retrieve the ball, coins are split again for the retrieval of the 8ball.
Please circle wins on the provided scoresheets and circle the winning player after the match. Both players need to sign the scoresheet. NOTE: On the schedule, each match has a designated Match #. Please include this number on your score sheet as it will greatly ease the posting of stats.
Final Standings are based on match wins and tiebreakers are based on winning percentage. Ties in winning percentage will defer to head to head. Three way ties in matches/winning percentage and head to head to head will split earnings.
Matches are scheduled for 7pm and 9pm for 15 consecutive
Thursdays. If your opponent agrees to
meet you on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, you may make alternative
arrangements. No matches may begin after 6pm Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays. You must play at least 3 matches in any given
4 week period. (Think playing forward,
rather than making up matches). NO
CALL/NO SHOW is grounds for a forfeit.
Please show common courtesy to your fellow players and give them advance
notice if you will not make it to your scheduled Thursday St

If you have any question to the legality of your opponent’s potential shot, you need to ask a player from another match to watch the hit, prior to the shot taking place. If you do not inform your opponent that you would like someone to watch the hit, the validity of the shot is the opinion of the shooter.
If for any reason a disagreement occurs in your game please use the following protocol; First discuss the issue with your opponent. Know the rules, and find the solution from the rules.
